Chapter Three: The Alpha's Return

[Chaos's Grave]

Sneering Death lifted her head muscles tensing at the alpha's howl. Alder was back... Yippie. She understood why Starbright hated her so much. "Death be nice!" Wish whispered nudging Death who promptly stood and followed her into the forest. Death really didn't want to deal with Blood's brother at the moment... Blizzard and Light soon fell into stride along with Star and Dark a few moment's later. Light Mage adn Dark Mage stopped them a few moments later the rouges that called themselves the Shimono Clan sitting behind them.

"Your not going to go greet the alpha's pups?" Light Mage asked softly and Death snorted looking down. Wish studied her wondering what was up they had always been so close yet suddenly they seemed so distant. "Well why not?" Dark Mage asked in a husky voice. Star and Dark growled slightly before turning to go and greet Eclipse. Blizzard and Light stayed though. "Alder annoys me!" Death spat venomously. She pushed past and was stopped by the rouges. A snarl from her and the rouges parted letting her Wish and Blizzard through but Light stayed behind shaking his head before dissapearing.

Death didn't pay any attention and padded forward Wish adn Blizzard walking in stride a few paced behind her wondering what was up. "STARBRGHT!" Death called to the spitful femora shooting a look at the two fae's behind her. "What we speek of here, never tell a soul!" she hissed adn both nodded.

Eclipse padded in beside Alder bouncing almost Exlie beside him and Lacrusa trailing behind. Star and Dark came out and tackled Eclipsed and the trio rolled around laughing before they let Eclipse up standing with their nose's touching tails wagging. "Where's Blood?" Eclipse asked suddenly remembering she ahd left on a sour note wondering is she had left. "She's greeting a new commer." Star lied smiling. Light adn Dark Mage padde up to Alder bowing and smiling. "Welcome back Lady Alder it's been a long time I suppose these are the pups" they said in unison. Exile gave thenm an odd look then padded over to sit beside his mom but Lacrusa walked towards them. Dark Mage nudged her with a paw and she growled going to sit behind her mother noticing the two new males seemed to know their father.

Sastam lead the rouges to the alpha's and sat at the edge of the forest waiting to be adressed. Kayr stared off into the distance his blue eyes reflecting everything. Kary was blind and Nadia was a mute but there were the only one's with dissabilities. Sastam and Saloon lay down curled up close so they looked like one white mass. Nadia and Sakona stayed close as well studying the pups. Kadassa and Kazad hung in the background heads hung low a sinister feel about them and Kary just sat they staring in the direction of the alpha's his auds pricked to the voices.

[†Bang BANG!†]

Starbright's auds perked up and she heard the wolfess calling her name. Knowing the powers this wolf held, she got up and sprinted towards the lass. Seeing Alder and Eclipse together made her sick for the hundreth time. She saw the small pups that sat beside the happy couple and sneered. 'Trash' she mumbled under her breath. Then she thought, these were Eclipse's pups too, not just Alder's. And it wasn't so much that she hated the pups as she was the last to judge, but if they came out of Alder, chances were.... She sighed lightly as Eclipse stood so proud over his new family. UGH! One of the pups was a small version of Eclipse. She sighed mournfully and approached Death. "It goes to the grave," she said and growled at the sight once again. She looked at Death and could see in her eyes the hatred that dwelled within her. She shared that hate as well, and it comforted her to know that she wasn't the only one who hated the bitch.

Starlight sat beside her mate and licked his maw. "Beautiful pups, Star," she smiled and licked him again. 'But we have yet to tell Eclipse about...you know...us,' she said with slight question in her voice. She didn't know if that was said right but didn't dwell on it. Seeing Eclipse's kin made her lone for pups herself, but as the memories from just days before resurrfaced, a look of hurt presented itself upon her maw. She understood of course, that he was still mourning his mate and he probably needed some time to heal. As the rest of the pack surrounded them, she leaned in closer to him. Her one eye looked on at the new family and she bowed to the ground. Ever since Durnal had taken her eye out, she had undieing respect for all of her packmates. She leaned her head into Star's chest and nuzzled him.

OOC// okies ill post now i suppose...ill just pick a random location for Susaku and Kalinka getting into mischief somewhere...

Susaku looked at the pack from the forest. He stepped out and made his way to them. He smiled at the pups. He sat down. A few metres from the pack. Not wanting to get to close. A habit of his. Not to come to close unless asked. Susaku smiled then looked at the sky. The clouds were drifting by. Susaku felt like going for a walk later. Explore and just find a place to relax. He looked back at the family. Death was looking miserable.

Kalinka was stalking upon her father. She smirked and jumped from the grass. "Rawr!!! Daddy I got you! Yay!!!" She cried happily. She licked his face and slid off his back then ran around and through his legs quickly then darted over to Death. Nuzzling into her fur. "Auntie Death!" She cried happliy then licked her paw then ran around some more.

(kk, sorry sorry, I had to evacuate quickly to go and do my AP History homework -_- eh... but now I shall reply))

Alder licked Eclipse gently on the cheek. It's great to be home again. She quietly whispered in his ear. With a bow she greeted Light and Dark Mage as they approached. Yes, this is Yager, Lacrusa, Exile, and Kalinka. She said nudging each pup as she said their names. She licked the two that hid behind her for a few, and casually pushed them forwards so that they could meet everyone. It's ok pups, this is Light Mage and Dark Mage. She told them, hoping for them to interact more. She looked and saw that Kalinka was having no problem introducing herself and she chuckled at her little pup.

Yager jumped out to greet everyone. His tail waved maddly as he saw more wolves than he had ever seen before. With a yip, he pounced and Kalinka and started to wrestle her. He grabbed her by the scruff, trying to pull her down to the ground. He was the biggest out of the pups and with his gold and white fur, he stood out in the sunlight. He looked like his father in stature, but had the shiney golden pelt of his mother.

Alder watched their childern and turned to Eclipse. Will you announce the contest? She quietly whispered to him. In all the excitement and confusion, she almost forgot about it.

Husku watched from the back of the pack. He could already taste the sweet trickle of puppy blood all over his tongue. The Alphess was too happy, she'd slip and then he would get them. Then no one would be able to find their bodies and revive them. He would break the peace, but Husku had to bide his time.

Kalinka growled and bit Yager on the leg, "Let go of me!" She cried between clenched teeth. She sunk her teeth in more and begant o knaw on it. "AUNTIE DEATH!!!!" She cried out before clamping back onto Yager. Kalinka did a weird twisty thing and camp up to his snout and opened her jaws and bit down. Getting a death grip on it. Her firey eyes looked into his. She growled. Daring him to do something...Glaring...

Susaku smiled as Kalinka fought despratly at Yager. A fighter. He looked into her eyes. Red...orange...yellow. He shook his head to see if it was an illusion. He looked again. No...it was those colours. He shuddered and looked away. He looked at an old grizzled wolf beside him. Amun-Ra has arrived. He seen traces of white blindness.

"Hello there..." Amun said to Susaku. He gave her a nod in greeting. She looked at Alder and Eclipse. Smiling. Then at each pup. Stopping for a moment at Kalinka. She looked at Death, a shimmer of knowing crossed her face. Death would surely notice. Amun smiled. Got up and walked to death. "Greetings Death..How are you doing these days?" She asked almost solemly. Yet cheery to be reunited with her friend.

[Alder]

Yager growled. It had only been play. Getting mad that Kalinka was going to tell on him for only playing, since she held the top of his muzzle, he lunged forwards and grabbed her throat between his jaws. She did not have the upper hand anymore. With an agressive growl, he ordered her to release him, or he would make sure she would. She's have to breath sometime if he did decide to clamp down and choke her.

Alder saw that the play was getting too rough, with a warning growl, she told them both to release eachother or she would do it for them. Enough pups. Do not fight. Yager you may be older and stronger than her but never grab anyone elses throat unless you actually mean to kill them. And you will not kill any of you siblings. She said sternly. And Kal, he was only playing. You just have to tell him to stop and if he doesn't let me know. Don't try to fight him, I don't want any of you getting hurt now. She said tenderly to all her pups, not just the two fighting.

Yager just looked at his mother. Only when Kalinka let go would he. Knowing he was wrong and shouldn't disobey his parents, he grudgingly released Kal and waited for her to do the same.

[Chaos's Grave]

Eclipse flinched slightly at Death's name wondering if she still held a grudge. But he shrugged it off until she shot a glare in his direction then he stiffened noticing her glare wasn't directed at him... He nudged Alder licking her maw and Death imiditally looked away murming to Blizzard and Wish ignoring Kalinka almost compeltely...

Meet me at the beach when everything calms down I have a proposition for you...

The glee in Death's eyes was evident as she turned putting on a happier face when she saw Amun-Ra comming her way. Blizzard imidtaly departed to go back to her siblings sitting beside Spectrum and smiling. She moticed the ones who called themselves the Shimono Clan keeping a watchful eye on Husku. A shiver ran down her spine which was imiditally replaced as Light bounded over, tackling her, licking her then taking off again. She knew Light wasn;t the sharpest tool in the sheed but he was useful and strong... She slowly picked herself back up with a goran popping a join back in place in the process.

Aumn long time no see! Dodn't you want to speek to the alphas?

She was about to add more until Eclipse threw back his head and howled everyones freezing in their tracks making him chuckle. Death was the first one to move sitting and Wish next moving to lay beside Death all eyes on Eclipse who was now studying everyone.

We need a care taker of the pups so we've decided to have a contest... Anyone who wants to enter please come towards me other's step back... It's going to be a fight though no blood please...

Eclipse smiled adn leaned lightly towards Alder to watch who would step forward. For a long moment no one moved then Star shrugged, licked Starlight then stepped forward adn sat before Eclipse. Wish moved next winking at Deth then bounding over like a deer adn laying down with a thump tail curled around her haunches. Death growled and through the silence it was obvious her hatred towards this. But a little fight within the pack was somthing she wouldn't miss so she slunk into the trees and lay there motioning for Aumn to follow.

[Alder]

Spectrum laughed good naturedly and slipped in with the rest of the pack who wanted to take care of the pups. His tail wagged ferociously as he winked at the Alphas and looked closely at the pups. He looked back to Blizzard and gave one of his old puppish silly smiles, his old self was returning. After war, it had drained him of it, but with life returning back to normal, here he was, coming back again.

Husku saw his chance. He would be able to get in good with the pack, and maybe earn their trust. With a pleasant sigh, he went and stood before the Alphas, one ear cocked toward them, the other to the pups. He looked like he was interested in the pups, and that he really did want to be accepted, but what lie in his heart was more hatred and seething than most could only dream of in their sleep. With this act, he could prove to them that he was kind and caring, but deep down, loathing and seering hate burned in his core.

Alder giggled, something she didn't do often, and smiled at Eclipse. It startled her that Husku wanted to babysit the pups, but maybe he was just trying to become friendly and more active within the pack? She kept a careful eye on him, but he seemed true to them. With a breath of relief, she looked at Eclipse and then licked his cheek. The fight will be the first of three tests. This is to prove that you could protect them. The winner of each battle will move on to the next round. Any questions? She asked to the ones who sat before them, but waited to see if more would step forward.

Sastam snarled slightly lips curling back in a warning to Husku. She knew the pack could take care of itself with Death around but Husku worried her and she feared even he had the power to kill an immortal. She leaned against Saloon who sighed contently Kadassa and Kazad standing in the shadows with Kayr pacing every once and a while feeling anxious. Nadia and Sakona though seemed perfectly relaxed as their orange and white pelts blended obviously sleeping. Saloon and Sastam had their eyes trained on the alpha's who seemed convinced at Husku's obvious ploy. Sakila was the only one in the rouges they knew of who could truly stand up to Husku with a chance of winning so she may have to be informed of what was going on. A glance at the trio in the background adn they were off, melting into the shadows perfectly.

Eclipse sat tense beyond his normal composure as Husku stepped up. He had no doubt Wish or Star would be good care takers considering he knew them well. Spectrum would have the ability to keep up with them and take care of them though Eclipse really didn't know much about him and Husku... He trusted none of the rouges adn from what he had observed the ones in the background had no wish to join them and seemed to be here only to watch Husku... But what did it matter he would pit him up against Wish to make things fair because he didn't want Star or Spectrum to die. Wish was Death's friend so he could count on her being well prepared.

Wish winked at Star smirking slightly then glancing at Spectrum and smiling kindly though her expression when she looked at Husku was un readable. Her thick grey coat rippled as she sat calmly waiting for everything to fall into place. "Ok lets put Star and Spectrum first. Husku and Wish next..." Eclipse said simply. Wish immediately stood nodding her head and walking back with grace to lie next to Death who smirked watching Star move to stand across from Spectrum.

Kalinka growled and let go. She glared at him with her firey eyes. "Grr...happy brother? Now let me go!" She growled silently. She listened to her mothers words and continued to glare at her brother. 'Just because he's the oldest he thinks he can do anything he wants.' She thought angerily. Kalinka pulled away gently.

Amun smiled at Death. "Yes...I would like to speak with them. But I see they are quite busy at the moment....So I guess we will just wait." She said quietly. Amun-Ra looked at the happy couple and smiled. 'I suppose I will have to wait to tell them about their children.' She thought gravely.

Susaku looked at the alpha. 'A contest? Im not going to do it....Im...not really good with kids and besides I barely know them so...yeah...' He thought quietly. He looked at Husku, 'He looks kinda dangerous.' He looked to the ground. "um...I..am...nevermind.." Susaku stood and walked off. Not really wanting to be any part of this.

[Alder]

Husku knew that he was not trusted. Putting his ears back, he slowly lowered himself closer to the ground, seemingy hurt and ashamed. He moved back and made way for the two to start fighting and quietl waited for everyone to get settled.

Alder felt bad for the Rouge named Husku. She still didn't quite trust him either, but atleast she was nice about it! She watched the others quietly disappear and some just glare and threaten the brute silently. She could do that also. With an angery glance at those who show the slightest hostility, she bared a tooth daring them to do something about it. She wanted someone right for the position and if Husk thought he could do it, then by God he should try.

Spectrum stood and waited for the others to clear way. Once that was done, he proudly nelt his head, covering his throat, and wait patiently for Star to get ready. To him, he realy wanted to win and take care of the pups. He didn't even care that he might lose in humiliation, but he loved pups, even if they weren't his own.

Alder quickly added a rule so that none would get hurt too baddly. Just to make it clear, in order to win, you must pin your opponent to the ground for five seconds. If you can manage that, then you shall win and move on to the next round. She smiled at the group and backed away. Good luck to you all.
